our house in biert

Our house is in the heart of the village and enjoys open views across the campsite and towards the river. It is a typical village house, built in stone around 200 years ago. It has undergone several phases of renovation but, thankfully, has retained its original character.

On the ground floor there is a comfortable open plan living space, which our guests are welcome to share with us. In winter we enjoy burning huge logs in the enormous original fire place. In warmer weather we have a terraced area for outdoor relaxing, drinking and eating.

Our own bedrooms and bathroom on the first floor and our two guest rooms are on the second floor, sharing their own separate newly fitted bathroom.

Because of the number of stairs, the house is not suitable for people with mobility problems.

THE HOUSE IS COMPLETELY NO SMOKING
Both guest rooms have twin beds (90cms x 200cms) and are simply but comfortably furnished with adequate storage. We provide all bedding and towels. There is also a hairdryer and plug socket adaptor in each room.

Each guest room has a small balcony where it is possible to sit outside and look towards the river, with a view of the church tower.

All the house, including the guest rooms and bathroom, are centrally heated throughout the winter. You may wish to bring with you a pair of indoor shoes or slippers as the tiled floor downstairs can feel cold to the feet in winter, and the rest of the house has wooden floors rather than carpet.

We have high speed internet access available to our guests.
