biert village
We live in the centre of the village of Biert, which occupies a sheltered position in the bottom of the Arac valley.
The population of Biert, like that of many other rural french communities, has diminished over the last century. We are one of a small group of people who live here all year round, although many others with family connections are here during holiday periods.
Despite it's size, Biert has an active community, which organises events, music and fêtes during the summer, many of which include traditional dancing with the dancers from the village. Visitors are always made very welcome.
We are fortunate to have an Auberge a few steps away from the house which serves drinks, lunches and evening meals.
There is a small general store which sells everything you could ever need, including bread baked fresh every day in the adjacent bakery.
There is a tennis court in the centre of the village.
